WHAT IS IT?

"High Altitude Stratocaching Workshop and Competition" is an initiative that is expected to provide a positive impact to all parties involved. This program puts high school students as the main target group with the aim of creating interest in Aerospace Engineering. The program includes a workshop and competition with 'High Altitude Stratocaching' as the main theme. 'High Altitude Stratocaching' is the combination of high altitude balloon and geocaching (treasure hunt) where participants require the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) to track the device (payload).

Main Components for Stratocaching Flight
Weather balloon made of latex and filled with helium flies up to the stratosphere- upwards of 20 kilometres.
Balloon
Stratocaches
Flying capsule shaped like a helicopter, that is released from the balloon in the stratosphere. The signal transmits from the stratocaches then traced by the GPS coordinates.
Mobile/GSM Module
Stratocaching tracking system used GSM Module that will send location coordinate through GSM Line. This coordinate will be able to integrate with Google apps.
